The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Web Optimization & Compliance Specialist t to join our Communications group at the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.). This person will work in collaboration with application development team and other departments to identify, evaluate and maintain the accessibility of C.A.R.s websites and applications, as well as optimize, test and maintain local and public search engine performance.
In conjunction with the VP of Digital Media, you would establish guidelines, best practices, and maintain standards of design to ensure accessibility – both to public and password-protected content - that are optimized for search engine discovery and rankings and provide an optimum user experience. You would also perform regular checks, data analysis and resolve SEO and accessibility related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Optimization, Design, and Compliance Analysis:
· Make data-driven recommendations to improve user experience as well as SEO performance.
· Implement and maintain proper SEO, accessibility, corporate standards and best practices.
· Research and select relevant keywords for content, based on end-user and organizational needs.
· Identify and resolve accessibility issues and ensure websites, applications, and content meet current accessibility guidelines, such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other best practice standards.
· Maintain awareness of site content across browsers, operating systems and devices to ensure effective presentation with optimal performance.
Research, Team Development:
· Collaborate with content editors and development team to ensure accessibility and search optimization.
· Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities, contribute to team meetings, and troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and platforms.
· Conduct technical SEO audits and make recommendations for improvements.
· Assess new architectures and technologies and determine which to implement to achieve the best business result. Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and IT to ensure content is aligned with SEO best practices.
· Stay current with latest trends, monitor search performance, visitor journeys and adjust SEO strategies as necessary.
Application Development:
· Create and edit user interfaces using modern web standards, following corporate and other relevant guidelines to ensure accessibility and SEO best practices.
· Assist in the definition of application requirements by analyzing user requirements; prototyping system features and functionality.
· Gather requirements, set expectations, determine design methodologies and tool sets; complete programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
· Perform tests to check for website SEO discovery and rankings.
· Developer testing: automated unit and integration testing
· Other duties as assigned.
