A note to our loyal readers:

C.A.R. knows that you look to us for guidance, news and information about your business, the industry and the real estate market. When it is business as usual, C.A.R.’s California Real Estate magazine brings you relevant content and insights from industry leaders and housing experts. However, we know it’s not business as usual — not for you or for us.

In reviewing our current issue (March/April) you may wonder why C.A.R. did not address the coronavirus outbreak and its impact on your business and California real estate. Producing a print publication occurs months in advance of the date it is delivered to you. This issue had gone to print prior to the escalation of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, and in fact was on press the well before Governor Newsom’s Stay-at-Home order. 

In light of the long lead times associated with the production of the magazine, we are suspending publication of the May/June issue, which also had been in the works for weeks. We will resume our schedule with the July/August issue.

Currently, we are providing members with COVID-specific information on a newly constructed website, through a new weekly newsletter, via numerous all-member emails and on social media. We have also made sure all our various communication channels are full of the information you need to get through these challenging times.

Please know that C.A.R. is working diligently to provide you with as much guidance and information as possible during this extraordinary moment. We strongly urge you to visit car.org/coronavirus for up-to-date information from C.A.R.

We will be back with a new issue of California Real Estate at the end of July. In the meantime, the most important thing is that you and your families stay healthy and stay safe. We at C.A.R. are here for you, and we’ll get through this together!

Our anniversary
This year, California Real Estate magazine turns 100 years old. That puts our beginning at 1920. Woodrow Wilson was President. Prohibition had just started. And the NBA did not exist.

Here’s a glance back at some of our pages over the past 10 decades.

California Real Estate magazine will be published six times this year: January/February, March/April, July/August, September, October and November/December, and is available in print and online formats.
