Invite a C.A.R. Government Affairs Field Rep to your office or association!

Field representatives are available to visit local associations and help promote member political involvement, as well as assist in developing a local strategy to increase member participation in local government issues and increase REALTOR® Action Fund fundraising.

Call your field rep today! 

Through these visits, field representatives promote overall member involvement in C.A.R.’s political programs by encouraging members to register to vote and vote in every election, become a Legislative Liaison, respond to Red Alerts and contribute to the REALTOR® Action Fund. Here are some ways your association may benefit from C.A.R.’s Field Program:

  EDUCATE & RECRUIT

Field Rep Educate

  •  Educate members on C.A.R. lobbying efforts and current legislative issues;
  • Recruit Legislative Liaisons;
  • Mobilize REALTORS® on state issues (through RED ALERTS) and federal issues (through Call to Action)
  • Assist local associations to increase voter registration among members
  • Encourage members to contribute to the REALTOR® Action Fund (RAF)

  

Help local associations increase their REALTOR® Action Fund participation by:

  • Making presentations at large real estate firms, new member orientations, MLS meetings or general meetings
  • Increase outreach at association events, or any other avenue where REALTORS® are gathered;
  • Train Fundraising Team Captains-Recruit REALTOR® volunteers who will lead fundraising at the local association.

Train local REALTORS® who are interested in becoming active in the legislative process; Assist local associations in developing a proactive Local Government Affairs Program through the following:

  •  Assisting associations in creating CREPAC/BORPAC and IMPAC committees
  • Helping associations establish a Local Key Contact Program
  • Provide training on conducting a Get Out the Vote Campaign
  • Providing associations with training on the GetActive online advocacy program offered through NAR.
  • Give presentations on the uses of PAC funds, C.A.R. resources, as well as state level legislative issues to existing local association committees.
