Job Title: Application Developer

Reports To: Operation Development Supervisor

Group: Operations - IT

 

The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and experienced C# .Net Web Application Developer to join our talented Development team! The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of full-stack web development tools and techniques, as well as a proven record of web project delivery. He/she will be able to work with other developers and individually to help deliver high-quality code and applications in a timely manner

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development, modification and implementation of software systems designed to support new or existing business needs.
  • Designs, tests and implements software components to perform specific tasks
  • Recommends changes to software, programming methodologies and safeguards
  • Identifies current processes and procedures, and clarifies objectives for software
  • Is responsible for requirements review and interaction with customers and other team members.
  • Is responsible for planning, architecting, designing and implementing projects and product features.
  • Defines technical specification and works on both high and low level software design specifications
  • Produces and maintains clean, high quality and standards-compliant code
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and debugging web, database, and application programming issues and determining and applying the appropriate remedial actions independently.
  • Performs peer-code review and monitors compliance with the change control processes.
  • Maintains cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards in the enterprise web applications domain.
  • Participates in architecture meetings and provides technical insights.

Minimum education required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics field

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle, and specifically with agile development methodologies and Object Oriented Programming
  • Expected to make independent decisions based on established principles with respect to project implementation and system remediation without direct supervision and oversight. Take on the role of DevOps to improve relationship between development and IT operations through better communication and collaboration. 

Skills Required:

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.  Must be able to analyze problems in existing code and procedures and come up with appropriate solutions.  Must be willing to expand existing procedures as the business requires.
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Experience in developing ASP.NET MVC applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL code.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Java and PHP a plus.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.  Some knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Ajax and Responsive Web Design. 
  • Experience or familiarity with Content Management Systems a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance.
