CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®
HEADQUARTERS PROPERTY
The California Association of REALTORS® Los Angeles Headquarters Property has been home to the Association's staff since 1981. The Headquarters is located in the Mid-Wilshire/Koreatown area of Los Angeles at 525 S. Virgil Avenue. The property is nearly one acre in size, and has frontage on Virgil Avenue and Westmoreland Avenue. A four story commercial office building is owned and occupied by C.A.R.
In 2021, the property was entitled by the City of Los Angeles for the development of 130 residential units and a commercial office space. C.A.R.'s objective in obtaining these entitlements was to develop affordable workforce housing, consistent with the Association's mission and objectives to increase housing supply and address the housing affordability crisis in California.
In 2022, the C.A.R. Board of Directors determined that the property would be sold. Currently, C.A.R. is in the process of inviting qualified commercial REALTORS® to submit a proposal to represent the Association in the listing and sale of the property.
The Request For Proposal document is available for review. The deadline for proposals to be submitted is April 25, 2023.
Inquiries may be directed to Rick Shumacher.
More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
