Three Butte County Realtor associations are now contributing listings to
calREDD, the California Association of Realtors announced Monday. CalREDD,
which stands for "California Real Estate Dynamic Data," is a statewide multiple
listing service for the association, which hopes to eventually contain listings
for all real property in California.
Members at the Chico Association of Realtors, Oroville Association of Realtors
and Paradise Association of Realtors can now view properties for sale, post
listings, prepare comparative market analyses (CMAs) and access agents for
referrals through calREDD, according to the announcement.
The associations have been participants in the Sierra North Valley Multiple
Listing Service.
The calREDD is intended to provide "much-needed efficiencies, state-of-the-art
technology and increased security for our members," said Jan Piacentine,
president of the Chico Association of Realtors, in a statement.
The latest additions bring the number of associations participating in calREDD
to six. The Madera and Merced Realtor associations joined calREDD at its launch
in August; the Lake County Association of Realtors joined earlier this
month.
Associations in Amador and Yosemite are scheduled to join in March, and
associations in Tehama, Mariposa and Plumas will join in April, CAR said,
bringing total participants to 11. Associations and MLSs representing more than
120,000 members have signed nonbinding letters of intent to join calREDD, CAR
said.
CalREDD eventually hopes to join California Real Estate Technology Services
(CARETS), a group of Southern California MLSs. CARETS announced earlier this
month, however, that it will not be accepting any new members for the next six
to nine months as it deals with growth-related technical issues.
