CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® launches mobile version of car.org
LOS ANGELES (Oct. 14) – The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) today announced the availability of a mobile version of car.org, the Association’s official Web site. The mobile version enables visitors to access car.org via cell phone.
“When a mobile device
accesses car.org, the Web site automatically determines what browser the
visitor is using, and decides whether to deliver either the desktop content
or a more streamlined version suitable for low bandwidth and small form
factor devices, such as PDAs, browser-equipped cell phones, and the like,”
said C.A.R. President William E. Brown.
The mobile version of car.org currently supports the following PDA
browsers: Windows CE, SPV, Palm®, Nokia, iPhone, BlackBerry®, Teleca, and
UIQ. Popular devices that employ these car.org-enabled browsers
include: BlackBerry®, Palm® Treo™, iPhone, and Blackjack.
“Now, members can access
the latest housing data, news, and real estate information, when meeting
with clients and not near a computer,” added Brown.
A log-on function, enabling registered members to view password-protected content on car.org is currently under development.
Leading the way...® in real estate news and information for more than 100 years, the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (www.car.org) is one of the largest state trade organizations in the United States, with nearly 175,000 members dedicated to the advancement of professionalism in real estate.
