Re: January Subcommittee Meeting
Greetings and Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to working with all
of you to ensure that your involvement with the Government Affairs Director
Subcommittee is productive, educational and fun. Our first
subcommittee meeting for 2009 will be held on Wednesday, January 21 in the
San Carlos Room IV - Mezzanine Level at the Marriott Hotel. This will
be a “two-part” meeting. Part 1 will be from 1:00 to 2:00pm and we’ll
reconvene for Part 2 from 3:30 to 5:00pm.
Our meeting will be jam-packed with compelling information including:
• A presentation by Josh Sharfman, C.A.R.’s Chief Technology Officer
about C.A.R.’s new “Video Augmentation Program” – This new technology will
make it easier for GADs to communicate with C.A.R. and take part in C.A.R.
meetings and events from the comfort and convenience of your office.

Special reports on local issues from you colleagues including updates
on:
• Housing Elements by Kathy Hayes
• Abandoned Property Ordinances by Richard Dascoli; and
• NAR’s Smart Growth grant program by Deborah Howard
