First, I would like to welcome all of you to this Committee for 2008.We have much planned and hope to further the work of the Committee during 2008.
Our Committee meeting will be on Friday, January 25, 2008, time 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. To find the location, check the program you will receive at registration.
Plans are underway for Commercial Day in October. We are currently investigating our selected keynote speaker and have applied for funding under RCA’s Signature Series speakersgrant program. Hopefully we will know at the January meetings the status of our application in that regard. We will discuss at the January meeting ideas for the balance of the Commercial Day program. As the EXPO, and therefore Commercial Day, will be in Long Beach again next year, our space will be limited, so once the program is determined and registration opens up (April/May), we would suggest early registrations.
Work on our web-site and other technology based activities are underway with C.A.R. A report will be given to you at our meeting.
We will also receive important updates from C.A.R. staff on legislative and other issues relative to C.A.R. and the commercial investment area.
Also, we will have joining us from RCA – NAR Jan Hope, who has replaced James Marrelli, and Rebecca Vesconte. Let’s make sure we give them a warm California welcome. They will give us an update on RCA’s plans for the year and on the development of the national CIE platform.
