Committee Liaison: John Wong gave introductory remarks
Committee reviewed roles and expectations.
Don Flynn reported HAF Financials. Accounts managed by Bernstein are performing well.
SPECIAL REPORTS:
Strategic Planning Session Recap: powerpoint of the strategic planning session was shared. Challenges with new lending standards presented the largest challenge with identifying a new program for HAF to fund in addition to the REAP program.
Fundraising: January Region Challenge outlined and flyer shared. We are trying to encourage every region to have 100% contributions to HAF before the end of the week. Each region that gets 100% by the end of the week will receive $100 gift card and two tickets to casino night.
Casino Night – Sacramento – Friday, May 4, 2012 – Mary Jane Cambria is the Chair for Casino Night. The entire committee and liaisons were asked to please assist in securing contributions, sponsorships, raffle donations and attendees.
Kathy Hinman was appointed to head up additional communication efforts.
It was requested that a DropBox account be established for HAF so that all files can be accessible for the committee rather than having to utilize the USB drives.
Golf Classic – Orange County- Monday, October 1, 2012 Mike DeLeon is the Chair for this event. The entire committee and liaisons were asked to please assist in securing contributions, sponsorships, raffle donations and participants for the event. The new ball drop fundraising opportunity was shared with the committee.
Bowling for the American Dream: Every association is encouraged to participate.
Bette Dobkin Award 2012 –A subcommittee will be appointed later in the year to review applications. Everyone is encouraged to start thinking of honorees and spread the word to the local associations.
Awards Receptions: This event takes place Fall Business Meetings. It’s the culminating event where we honor all of our contributors with this very nice reception.
Realtor’s Energy Audit Program (REAP) – Monica provided an update.
