We are happy to announce that C.A.R. is, again, presenting the very popular Negotiation and Mediation Training for REALTORS® program. This training program is being taught by members of the distinguished faculty of the nationally-acclaimed Pepperdine University School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. All REALTORS® are welcome. If your member has never conducted a mediation – they will learn how. If they are experienced mediators – they will reaffirm some things they already know and gain valuable insight which will improve their mediation skills.
Mediator Training I will focus on negotiation skills and provide an introduction to the mediation process. Mediator Training II will focus on mediation skills and advanced mediation techniques with an emphasis on real estate disputes. Only those satisfactorily completing Mediator Training I will be permitted to enroll in Mediator Training II. We recommend that your member take both Mediator Training I and II if they plan to mediate disputes for your Local Association. Mediator Training I and II provide 32 hours of basic negotiation and mediation skills training.
