Key Contacts are responsible for coordinating attendance at
their legislator’s local fundraisers and setting up presentations of
checks. When you receive the CREPAC or RPAC check please
do the following:
Contact the other key contacts and federal coordinators
and let them know you have a check for presentation.
Contact your legislator’s campaign treasurer and let them know you have a
contribution and find out if there are any local fundraisers scheduled for
the near future.
Decide whether your group will be using the contribution to attend a
local fundraiser or make your presentation at the association which
will allow more members to visit with their elected official.
Contact the local association executives and government
affairs directors of the associations in that particular legislative
district Legislative
Crossover Index to coordinate attendance.
You may want to get the check to the campaign treasurer first, and use a “fake check” in an envelope to hand it to them. We do not want checks left in anyone’s pockets. Remember to include an invitation to the other associations in the district.
For Fundraisers: Get the check to the campaign treasurer. Please do not hold onto these checks, it is best to deliver them promptly.Negotiate for as many tickets to the eventas possible.
Split the tickets amongst the associations in the district and get the names of those attending.
