REALTOR® Funds College for Minority
Children
Oral Lee Brown, a REALTOR® with the Oakland Association of REALTORS®, has begun
seeing one of her greatest dreams come to fruition. In 1987, Brown
promised a group of 23 Brookfield school first graders that she would pay for
their college educations if they continued to work hard and remained in
school. Of the original 23, 19 successfully entered colleges and are
beginning to graduate.
The $10,000 trust fund Oral originally established has grown
almost $400,000 over the years through fund-raising events.
