Elections/Appointments to the Boards of Directors of Real Estate Business Services, Inc. and its Subsidiaries
Real Estate Business Services, Inc. ('REBS') is a wholly owned subsidiary of the California Association of REALTORS® ('C.A.R.'). Its Board of Directors is elected by the C.A.R. Board of Directors annually at the Fall C.A.R. meeting. Names of nominees are forwarded to the C.A.R. Board by the Chairman of the REBS Board of Directors in consultation with the C.A.R. Leadership Team.
Real Estate Business Services Inc., a subsidiary of the California Association of REALTORS® , is the leading provider of real estate products and services to practitioners in California. Product lines include Standard Forms, C.A.R. Publications, Educational Services, Real Estate Transactional Supplies, and Risk Management programs. REBS currently has nine (9) Board seats with Directors elected for two year terms upon a staggered election so that all of the Directors do not come up for election at the same time. All Directors, except Executive Office Director, may serve no more than two consecutive terms. One seat (1) is filled by the Chief Executive Officer of C.A.R. One seat (1) is typically filled by a non-REALTOR® with a successful track record running for-profit enterprises. The other seven (7) are typically filled by REALTORS®. The REBS Board of Directors meets about 6 times per year in California. The REBS Board meetings are almost always held at C.A.R. Headquarters in Los Angeles.

The meetings generally last for the better part of one business day. zipLogix has been meeting once in California, once in Detroit (where the operations are located) or Chicago, once in Washington DC in conjunction with the NAR Mid-Year meeting, and once at NAR Expo/November Directors' Meeting. This schedule is subject to change however.
