Job Title: Staff Accountant
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Group: Operations – Financial Management

Summary:
This position will update and collect Accounts Receivable and prepare journal entries for month-end closing.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Account Receivable aging report
  • Process billing and update receivable accounts
  • Prepare deposits and post payments to customer accounts
  • Prepare general ledger entries for month-end and year-end closing
  • Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliation for various bank accounts including credit card accounts
  • Assist in preparing for the annual financial statements, annual budget, and other regulatory audits
  • Analyze and reconcile various intercompany accounts
  • Prepare filings of various government reports such as the sales tax filings
  • Assist in preparing financial statements for various Board meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of experience in General Ledger and Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar software
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software
  • Experience with Excel pivot tables, Excel macros, and PowerPoint

Additional Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as knowledge of how to conduct Zoom meetings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and outstanding customer service orientation.
  • Ability to function effectively in a variety of challenging situations and circumstances, including difficult project deadlines, demanding customers, tight budgets, and evolving goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance.
  • Consistency in giving feedback regarding work progress, timetable, and issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities
