The following steps should assist in creating a new username and password.  Use this tutorial if you are a new C.A.R. member, local association staff or non-member and have not previously created a Username and Password prior to May 2008 on car.org.

As a member of the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.), you will be able to take advantage of advanced features on the new car.org, which include bookmarking; accessing password-protected areas; managing your personalized profile; accessing Web message alerts, and much more.

To begin, click on the "Register" button in the login box located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.  Select the option that best describes you.

Now enter your last name and NRDS number into the fields as indicated above, and select your local association. 

You now will be able to create a new Username and Password.  Your Username must have at least six characters; your Password must also contain at least one number or a special character.  Secondly, you also will need to create a Secret Question and Answer to assist you in the event you forget your login information.  The Cell Phone option will allow us to send you a text message to help recover your login information.  (Standard rates apply.)
