Import MLS Data Directly Into Your zipForm® Transaction
As of January 1, 2013 zipFormMLS-Connect is a free C.A.R. member benefit!
zipFormMLS-Connect® integrates data straight from an MLS system into a zipForm® transaction. This eliminates the need for double data entry for many fields in a transaction.
zipForm®’s electronic forms software already saves you time and helps reduce data-entry errors by allowing data to be entered once and used across all documents associated with a transaction. Now, with zipFormMLS-Connect®, users can import data that is stored electronically in an MLS database, but has not been keyed into zipForm®.
zipForm® is Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS) compliant and supports data import from other RETS-compliant applications. This allows MLSConnect to receive data from MLS providers.
zipFormMLS-Connect® offers MLS providers a means of easily adding increased functionality to their service by giving users of zipForm®, the industry’s leading electronic forms software, the ability to import data directly from an MLS database.
MLS and Local AOR’s are able to partner with zipForm® in a couple different ways. They are able to fully license zipFormMLS-Connect® and provide it to their REALTOR® members through C.A.R. as a free member benefit. zipForm® also allows a MLS to push listing data into a new transaction directly from the MLS. Instructions to use zipFormMLS-Connect®
(Standard and Professional)
1. First login to zipForm® 6
2. Start a new transaction or open an existing transaction
3. Add a coversheet or standard form
4. Click on the "Tools" tab at the top of the menu bar
5. Click on the "MLS Connect" button
6. Within the zipFormMLS-Connect® window enter your MLS Username and Password (if prompted)
7. Now enter the MLS Listing ID (Make sure to choose the Listing Type)
8. After the Listing is found, click the Import button
9. A confirmation window will appear confirming to import this information
10. Once confirmed, the information will be added to your transaction and all forms within the transaction
(Mobile)
1. First login to zipForm Mobile Web Edition
2. Start a new transaction or open an existing transaction
3. Click the "More ..." option
4. Click "Import MLS Listing Data"
5. Enter your MLS Username and Password
6. Now enter the MLS Listing ID (Makr sure to choose the Listing Type)
7. Click "Get"
8. After the Listing is found, click the Import button
9. The information will be added to your transaction and all forms within the transaction
