New calREDD®, MRMLS entity announces name change
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 29) – Following on the heels of its agreement in August to combine efforts with calREDD®, the statewide effort to form a multiple listing service (MLS), the Multi-Regional Multiple Listing Service, Inc., (MRMLS) today announced a formal name change to California Regional Multiple Listing Services, Inc., (CRMLS). The entity is the next step in an initiative started by the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) to create one database accessible to real estate agents throughout the state.
“We are pleased that we have reached another important milestone toward achieving the realization of a statewide MLS and look forward to a long working affiliation with all who were involved in this effort,” said CRMLS President Richard Stone. “The name change and previously announced agreement to combine efforts with calREDD® signify positive advancements toward providing choice, efficiencies, and new technology opportunities to real estate professionals through the state.”
Members of the newly named CRMLS have greater access to MLS information, greater exposure for listings, and can select from either the Discover software system or the Tarasoft Matrix platform. CRMLS currently serves 33,000 real estate professionals and 21 REALTOR® associations in Northern and Southern California. It will welcome the Plumas Association of REALTORS® as its 22nd association on Oct. 21.

President Steve Goddard. “We look forward to working with the capable management team that has run the highly successful MRMLS to further the vision and principles toward providing the best technologies and services available today.”
