C.A.R. offers NAR designations via video conferencing
C.A.R. Education’s Face2Face interactive video conferencing program to offer
NAR designations
LOS ANGELES (June 1) — Real Estate Business Services® (REBS®) today announced
the launch of Face2Face, C.A.R. Education’s new video conferencing program.
Face2Face will deliver dynamic, interactive training to REALTORS® at up to four
local associations in California simultaneously. The live presentation will be
sent via a video feed to the local association in real-time, enabling every
member to see and hear the same thing at the same time, for the ultimate
learning experience. Students can instantly respond and interact with the
instructor through this approach.
“The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) is one of the first state
associations to be licensed to provide NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR)
designations via video conferencing,” said Marc Gould, Executive Director of
the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
REALTORS®. “In these difficult times, C.A.R. has taken the initiative to offer
more innovative ways to deliver real estate education courses to its
members.”
A wide array of course topics will be offered, including NAR designations such
as the Green designation, Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), and the
Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation, along with C.A.R.
Education courses such as Distressed Properties and its Technology training
series.
“Face2Face offers courses that REALTORS® need to be able to succeed in this
market,” said John Young, president of the California Desert Association of
REALTORS®. “Face2Face is professional, exciting and makes economic sense in
this market as a great augmentation, furthering our goal of excellence through
education.”
This new delivery method will facilitate reduced costs for C.A.R. members and
allows many associations to increase their course offerings for members by
reducing the minimum class size requirement. The California Dept. of Real
Estate (DRE) has approved this program, and any course currently approved for
live lecture will qualify for DRE credit when delivered through
Face2Face.
“This is a great opportunity for smaller associations to be able to participate
in courses and designations that they might not otherwise be able to offer to
their members,” George Oakes Sr., president of the Solano Association of
REALTORS®.
"C.A.R. is dedicated to making education accessible to every Realtor®
throughout the state of California. This great new resource is just one example
of C.A.R.’s continued efforts to meet evolving member needs,” said Mark Powell,
chair of the C.A.R. Educational Services Advisory Committee. “C.A.R. Education
is at the forefront of educational trends by utilizing the most current
technology in the delivery of real estate education.”
