2010 Housing Market Forecast set for Oct. 7
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 28) – CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2009, the
state’s largest real estate trade show, is scheduled for Oct. 6 to Oct. 8
at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. Featuring
cutting-edge seminars, hot new products, and networking opportunities,
CALIFORNIA REALTOR® EXPO 2009 will feature more than 150 exhibit
booths and is expected to attract more than 7,000 attendees. Tech Tuesday
on Oct. 6 provides a full day of comprehensive technology training for
REALTORS®.

“Text, Tweet, and Sell: A Dialogue on Tech’s Possibilities for
Today’s Agents”

With technological opportunities continually on the rise, it’s now more
important than ever to stay dialed in and up to speed on technology’s
impact on the real estate industry. C.A.R. Executive Vice President Joel
Singer launches Tech Tuesday with a power-packed panel discussion on
technology’s role in real estate, featuring a select panel of tech-savvy

Business speaker and entertainer Bodine Balasco will present the “Structure

“2010 Housing Market Forecast Luncheon”

Prepare for the year ahead with C.A.R. Vice President and Chief Economist
Leslie Appleton-Young as she presents the Association’s 2010 Housing Market
Forecast. Appleton-Young will share valuable information and insights
about California’s housing market, including projected home sales, median
prices, housing affordability, and mortgage rates and availability.
“Unlocking the Mystery of Short
Sales”

Broker Associate Kathy
Mehringer will help attendees unlock the mystery of the short sale
transaction. She’ll review how to prepare, package, and position an offer;
recognize common pitfalls, risks, and rewards; and enhance negotiating
skills with specific tips, techniques, and tactics. At the end of
Mehringer’s session, attendees will be able to successfully complete a
short sale, counsel clients effectively, and manage both buyer and seller
expectations throughout the transaction.
