Three REALTOR® associations in major U.S. markets to offer Real Estate Profit Navigator™ as member benefit

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 4) – Real Estate Broker Owner Solutions (REBOS) today announced that the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR), the St. Louis Association of REALTORS® (SLAR), and the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS® (BHGLAAR), each intend to provide Real Estate Profit Navigator™ as a free member benefit to their broker members.

“We saw an opportunity to provide a member benefit designed specifically for our broker members,” said Bob Hale, president and CEO of HAR. “There isn’t a better time than now to provide a tool that keeps the focus on growing an organization’s financial health and steering it toward increased profitability for the future.”

“This is an unprecedented and difficult financial climate facing our brokerage community,” said Margie Dorrance, chair of the HAR Information Advisory Group and 2009 chair-elect. “A tool like Profit Navigator™ is an ideal framework to assist our brokers in evaluating their businesses in this environment.”

Real Estate Profit Navigator™ is a powerful Internet-based tool designed to allow brokers and managers to quickly and easily analyze current performance, plan improvements to boost profitability, and immediately assess the impact such changes will have on overall performance and company valuation.

“Our brokers can control current spending by tracking their data in Real Estate Profit Navigator™,” said John Williams, president of SLAR. “But maybe even more importantly, they can create their future business plans with hard numbers generated from the ‘What If’ scenarios.”

Reports can be used for internal and external comparison and benchmarking in order to track success and identify opportunities for increasing brokerage profitability. Real Estate Profit Navigator™ includes performance data provided by Steve Murray and "Real Trends;” and the RealTrends Company Valuator that, based on data entered by the brokerage, will provide an approximation of the brokerage's estimated value.

“The key performance ratios allow our brokers to see at a glance how they’re doing,” said Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS® President Steve Manavi. “They can then make comparisons nationally or regionally.”

REBOS is a partnership between Real Estate Business Services (REBS), a subsidiary of the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.), and Real Estate Business Resources (REBR), a subsidiary of the Kansas Association of REALTORS®.

The Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR), founded in 1918, is a 26,000-member organization of real estate professionals engaged in every aspect of the industry, including residential and commercial sales and leasing, appraisal, property management and counseling. It is the largest individual membership trade association in Houston, as well as the second largest local association/board of REALTORS® in the United States.

The St. Louis Association of REALTORS® (SLAR) can trace its beginnings to 1877 when the St. Louis Real Estate Exchange was founded. Membership includes residential and commercial real estate licensees, appraisers, and real estate industry affiliated businesses.

The Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of REALTORS® (BHGLAAR) represents nearly 6,000 REALTOR® Members in the cities of Beverly Hills, Culver City, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
