April Forms Release: Week of April
27th
The new and revised April
forms will be available through WINForms® and in paper format the week of
April 27. WINForms Online® subscribers will find the new forms
automatically updated into their WINForms® account. WINForms® Desktop
users will be prompted to download the updates on April 27. For a copy of
the Quick Summary and to see a complete list of all new, revised and
silent revisions please go to:

During the week of April
27,
2009
, the latest version of
the
C.A.R.
F
orms
Library will be
available to download
at
www.winforms.com
.
C.A.R. standard forms
are updated at least twice a year, during Spring and Fall. The
paper forms and
the corresponding
forms on WINForms®
are
updated at
the same
time.
This Spring, 13 new forms will
be released along with 9 previous forms with new revisions. You can find
the most current version of the Quick Summary available at:

As WINForms Online® users,
your software will
automatically
update the forms library. On
WINForms® Desktop, there are 2 methods to download and install April Forms
release:

1. Download & install updates

STEP
1. CHECK FOR UPDATES
The “Checking for Updates” box
is one way of notifying WINForms® users of forms updates.
As a current WINForms® user,
you should
automatically
be
notified with the
following “
Checking for Updates” dialog
box to update your software when you login to
WINForms®.
You may click on the
“Continue”
button to
check whether your software is
required for an update.
STEP 2. UPDATE NOW!
Accessing the Update Center requires an Internet connection. By
clicking on the
“Download
Now” button on the
Version Verification Manager, you are now redirected to WINForms® Update
Center for a download instruction.
STEP
3. DOWNLOAD UPDATE FILE
A
File
Download dialog box
will appear asking you whether you want to open the file or save it to your
computer. Click on the
“Save”
button.

2. Click
on the
“Forms Update”
to download
software.
3. Save
the Software Download to Hard Disk.
4. A
File
Download dialog box
will appear asking you whether you want to open the file or save it to your
computer. Click on the
“Save”
button.
5. A
Save
As dialog box will
appear asking where you would like to save the installation program. We
recommend saving the installation program to your
Desktop
.

After downloading the
software, g
o to your
Desktop
or the folder where you saved
the file, and double-click on the newly downloaded program icon.
2.
An
Attention
dialog box
will open
telling you to exit your
WINForms® program before running this update.

lease close all
applications (
including Web Browser,
E-mail software,
etc.)
that
you are currently running on
your PC before
installing the
software.
3.
A
Welcome
dialog box appears telling you
what to do next. Click the
“Next”
button.
4. A
Release
Notes dialog box appears
telling you what to do next. Click the
“Next”
button.
5. A
Start
Upgrade dialog box appears
telling you what to do next. Click the
“Next”
button
.
6. When the
Upgrade
Complete dialog box
appears, click the
“Finish”
button to complete the
installation. When
prompted by the Install dialog box, click the
“OK”
button to restart your
computer.

information on geologic and seismic hazards, explanations of structural and
nonstructural earthquake weaknesses, and recommendations for mitigating

Finally, a new WINForms® library
of commercial forms is now available for just $99 per year. The AIR Essentials™

RPA STUDY GROUP NOW SOLICITING
COMMENTS
The
Standard Forms Advisory Committee and the RPA Study Group are currently
reviewing the California Residential Purchase Agreement (C.A.R. Form RPA-CA).
The Study Group’s objective is to update the RPA-CA and would like to review
your member comments in the process. If you’d like the Study Group to consider
any suggestions or modifications to the RPA-CA, please forward your comments
to
carforms@car.org
. A new draft of the RPA-CA is
scheduled to be presented to the membership in November 2010.
