In conjunction with C.A.R.’s 2011 consumer advertising campaign, C.A.R. has created a new Facebook contest that encourages home buyers and sellers to share their experiences working with a REALTOR® via video, and offers opportunities to win a Lowe’s gift card.
The C.A.R. 2011 consumer advertising campaign has focused on consumer-driven testimonials in which California home buyers sing the praises of working with a REALTOR®. The campaign has been seen or heard more than 35 million times across California since mid-August on radio, TV, and online. This year’s campaign also boasts a big social media effort. The word-of-mouth aspect of the “California REALTORS®. Champions of Home,” campaign offers a natural leap into the social media sphere.
The new “Stories of Home” Facebook contest offers satisfied home buyers and sellers a place to share their own story, and view and vote on others' videos. Now through Nov. 30, 2011, California home buyers and sellers with a Facebook account may either submit a video to compete for one of four $500 Lowe’s gift cards, or simply vote on their favorite videos.
