Regarding:  Important Events for Californians

As we prepare for the NAR meetings in New Orleans, I want to provide you with an overview of key activities for Californians attending the conference, committee meetings and Board of Directors meetings.

1. California NAR Directors Briefing. Friday, November 10, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30.a.m in the Grand Salon B, Section 9 & 12, Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. Once again all Californians serving as NAR directors and committee members will meet for an issues briefing session to preview the issues of concern to California.  All NAR directors and committee members must attend. 2. MLS/ProStandards Committee Briefing. Friday, November 10, 2006 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Melrose Room, HiltonNew Orleans Riverside Hotel. All Californians serving on the MLS and ProStandards Committee should attend. For more information, contact June Barlow at juneb@car.org or (213) 739-8277.

3. Region 13 Caucus. Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Ballroom, Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. All Californians serving as NAR directors are expected to attend.

4. California Club Reception. The California Club Reception for Californians attending the NAR meetings will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Salon A, Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. All Californians attending the NAR meetings are invited.

5. California Pre-Delegate Body Meeting. Monday, November 13, 2006 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Grand Salon C, Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. All Californians serving as delegates must attend the Pre- Delegate Body Meeting.

6. Delegate Body Meeting. Monday, November 13, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel . All Californians serving as delegates must attend the Delegate Body Meeting.

Delegates are required toregister prior to the Delegate Body meeting in order to attend. Hard copy instructions and certification form for registration were sent to each local association by NAR and are also available online at: www.realtor.org.

Delegates are encouraged to get certified online before arriving at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo.

For those who choose to certify on-site, the Delegate Certification Booth will be located at the Morial Convention Center, Hall B (Booth Hours). All delegates must be certitied by their board officer by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12th to be eligible to vote during the Delegate Body Meeting.
