During the January 2009 Business Meeting the C.A.R. Board of Directors approved the following changes to the Public Policy Committees structure.

NEW PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEE STRUCTURE
• Two Level of Government Committees (Legislative and
Federal)
• Four Policy Committees (Transaction and Regulatory, Housing,
Land Use and Environmental, and Taxation and Government
Finance)
• Two new Forums (Local Government and Public Policy)
The reorganization consolidates certain existing committees within this new structure, effective in 2010.
The Common Interest Development Committee will become part of the
new Housing Policy Committee
The Equal Opportunity - Cultural Diversity Committee will become
part of the new Housing Policy Committee
The Federal Issues Committee will become the new Federal Level of
Government Committee
The Housing Opportunity Committee will become part of the new
Housing Policy Committee
The Land Use and Environmental Committee will become the new Land
Use and Environmental Policy Committee
The Legislative Committee will become the new Legislative Level of
Government Committee
The Local Governmental Relations Committee will become the new
Local Government Forum
The Manufactured Housing Committee will become part of the new
Housing Policy Committee
The Property Management Committee will become part of the new
Housing Policy Committee
The Real Estate Finance Committee will become part of the new
Housing Policy Committee
The REALTORS® Commercial Alliance Commercial Investment Committee
will become part of the new Taxation and Government Finance Policy
Committee
The Rural Forum will become part of the new Land Use and
Environmental Policy Committee
The Taxation Committee will become part of the new Taxation and
Government Finance Policy Committee
Each Policy Committee will have within it several appointed “Issues Chairs” designated to manage various issue areas as needed within each Policy Committee. These issue areas include:
