Notes for the June 2008, Political Affairs Meeting Notes held in Sacramento
Chair Rick Violett called the meeting to order at 9:50 a.m. and he reported
that we collected $3,053.486 to RAF. The overall percentage is 22%, but
that we have six months to reach our 33.3% participation goal and to raise
$3.5 million!
CREPAC Trustees and IMPAC Trustees gave an update on their activities. All
is well with both groups!
Dorothy Jackson reported that we had met and exceeded our Fair Share goal
for RPAC and we have 52 N.A.R. President Circle members. Dorothy
Jackson thanked the group for making this possible and to keep up the great
work!
Vice Chair Sharon Bowler shared her "Get Free Gas" Contest with the
group. Further, she reported that we have 8 Regions at 100% and we
have 39 local AORs at 100%...She encouraged all members to get their
Regions to be 100% by October 2008.
Vice Chair John Cribb reminded the group about the C.A.R. statewide RAF
contest where you have the opportunity to win $7500 towards the lease of a
luxury car OR $7500 in CASH! If you have already contributed $197 in
2008, then you are already entered into the contest!
Chair Rick Violett discussed the suggested New Allocation formula with the
Committee and the following motion was made:
It was moved, seconded and CARRIED that the 2009 voluntary political
contribution allocation formula be changed as follows:
2009 Proposed Formula
Personal Contribution
0% to CREPAC/Federal ($410,000)
25% to CREIEC ($615,000)
45% to CREPAC/BORPAC ($1.84 million)
30% to Local BORPAC ($1.25 million)
Corporate Contributions
20% to CREIEC
48% to CREPAC/BORPAC
32% to Local BORPAC
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:14 a.m.
