You are cordially invited to attend the Rural Forum meeting on
Wednesday, June 3, 2009, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Sacramento
Convention Center Room 309/310 (Please check program to confirm room
location, as this location is subject to change due to the nature of this
meeting).
We are proud to present two very important speakers at our meeting. Our
first speaker* will be the Honorable Jean Fuller (R) from Assembly District
32 representing Bakersfield, Lake Isabella, Maricopa, Ridgecrest,
Tehachapi, Taft and Frazier Park. Assemblymember Fuller is the Immediate
Past Chair of the Legislative Rural Caucus and she will be presenting us
with information on utility transmission lines, wildfires and the pending
statewide septic regulations.
Our second speaker is Damien Schiff, a Staff Attorney with the Pacific
Legal Foundation's National Litigation Center. Mr. Schiff will be
presenting Rural Forum with highlights from a compendium of legal battles
in which the PLF has fought hard to preserve private property rights and
oppose overreaching government policies and regulations.
Please join Rural Forum as we welcome our two distinguished guests. Both of
our speakers will be available for Q&A. We hope to see you there!

Session.
