Election of 2008 Subcommittee Leadership
The Subcommittee chose Dave Stark, Bay East AOR, as Vice Chair for 2008.
Federal Issues Update
John Ferruggiaro spoke on federal issues. Matt Roberts was not available.
2008 CA GAD Institute
The Subcommittee voted to hold the 2008 California GAD Institute in Pasadena some time after Labor Day.
New Business
Chip Ahlswede, GAD Region 31, introduced LoriFisher from Pismo Coast AOR to speak about her proposed ballot measure which would raise the homeowner's income tax exemption to 25% of a home's assessed value.
Information Sharing
The following local issues were raised: no smokingin private apartment buildings; sign ordinances; point-of-sale sewer laterals; wood burning stoves; declining school enrollment, global warming; vacation rentals.
