REALTOR® ACTION FUND TEAM CAPTAINS!

After we get back from the October 2006, the 2007 dues billing process will start.  Our goal is to have our 2007 RAF Team Captains ready to help.  Therefore, we would appreciate your taking the time to do the following: 

     1.  Review  Fundraising Team Captain list. 
     2.  If you have a Captain, please verify that themenber still wants to be the RAF Captain
     3.  If you don't have Captain, please provide a name using theRAF Captain Form.

Note:  Both of these documents have been uploaded as "word" document, so you can download them to your computer and make the updates and email the information to Lisa Edwards at lisae@car.org or by fax to (916) 444-1794

Responsibilities of a Fundraising Captain
Never discuss a Legislator’s vote record in the same meeting where you discuss a contribution. It is not only illegal; it marks you as a political novice. Even the appearance of an improper connection can lead to criminal or civil prosecute.
1.  Contribute to REALTOR® Action Fund $197 "The True Cost of Doing Business."
2.  To help increase your board’s participation in REALTOR® Action Fund.
3.  To educate and inform your local membership on the importance of contributing to RAF .
4.  Encourage those who have consistently contributed to RAF to go to the next level.
5.  Inform members of the various levels of contribution
7.  Make  presentations at your local board and at the local office’s monthly staff meetings.
7.  Organize fundraising events to increase the dollars in your local BORPAC.
8.  Communicate with C.A.R. staff to inform them of new ideas developed in your campaign to increase contributions to REALTOR® Action Fund.
