.......................................................................................................................................................................You are cordially invited to attend the Rural Forum meeting on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, from 2:30 pm to 4:30pm at the Sacramento Convention Center Room 309/310 (please check program to confirm room location).Our guest speaker will be Ms. Edith Lohman. Ms. Lohman is the Western Territorial Manager for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Her region includes the Pacific Northwest, California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii and the Pacific Trust Territories.  She conducts training sessions for insurance agents, lenders, realtors, appraisers and other professional groups and actively promotes education of the program through conferences and public events.  Ms. Lohman will be giving us an overview on California’s flooding issues by presenting us with a discussion about the current state of ourlevees and associated flood hazards, the health of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and an overview of pending new legislation and mandates.
