Mission Statement: The Local Governmental Relations Committee supports the interests of REALTORS® in local governmental affairs. The Committee monitors, analyzes, and recommends policies relating to local and regional issues, and assists REALTORS® in developig programs which impact local and regional governmental actions.

Attendance
In attendance were 44 Committee members, 21 GADs and5 guests.
LGR Priorities
It was moved, seconded and carried by the Committee to adopt for 2006 the following goals and objectives as outlined by Chair Mel Wilson:
- Implementation of th GADles Working Group's Recommendations
- Identify AORs that want GAD coverage
- Create a Template for Local Legislative Day
- Create an Online Tool Kit (Searchable Database)
- Increase the Use of Local IMPAC Funds
- Increase C.A.R. Legislative Day participation by 10%
- Increase and Document Field Outreach Program
Special Presentation: GAD Award of Excellence
GAD Subcommittee Chair Kathy Hayes announced the winner fo the 2005 GAD ofthe Year Award, as selected by her peers, is Sheryl McKenzie of the Monterey County Association of REALTORS®. Agenda Items
All agenda items were discussed as listed. Two items were removed from the agenda:

Information Sharing
Various REALTOR® efforts were highlighted. REALTORS® defeated a rental property inspection in Sacramento. REALTORS® are challenging a growth control majority on the Livermore City Council. REALTORS® defeated a sewer lateral proposal in Santa Baraba.
In addition, the following issues were raised for informational purposes: eminent domain and "thermal curtains" in Region 2; convenyance fees in Placer County; ; greenbelts and the general plan in Stockton; water rights in Lake Arrowhead; wood shake roofs in San Luis Obispo County.
