Mission Statement: The Local Governmental Relations Committee supports the interests of REALTORS® in local governmental affairs. The Committee monitors, analyzes, and recommends policies relating to local and regional issues, and assists REALTORS® indevelopig programs which impact local and regional governmental actions.

In attendance were 44 Committeemembers, 10 GADs and 9 guests.
Agenda Items:
All agenda items were discussed as listed.
Motion:
It was moved, seconded and approved that C.A.R. will continue to aggressively pursue clarification that REALTORS® serving as elected or appointed officials are not subject to a disqualifying conflict of interest simply by virtue of their license or profession.
Information Sharing:
The following issues and locales werediscussed: point-of-sale inspection in Sacramento; inclusionary zoning in San Diego; downzoning in Coronado; backflow preventors in San Diego; eminent domain in Hercules; pool safety in Orange County and Santa Cruz; hillside protection in Santa Clara.
