Notice of C.A.R. Education Foundation Bylaws Amendments -- click here
This serves as official notice of proposed amendments to the C.A.R. Education Foundation Bylaws to be voted on by the C.A.R. Board of Directors at its upcoming October 11-12, 2013 meeting at the Long Beach Convention Center. The proposed changes will bring the term of office of the Directors of the C.A.R. Education Foundation into conformity with the term of office of the Trustees of the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation. The same thirteen REALTORS® serve as Trustees/Directors of these companion foundations. The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to students enrolled at a California college or university for professions which are centered on, or support a career in real estate. The purpose of the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Education Foundation is to provide real estate related scholarships and to engage in other real estate and education related charitable activities. The C.A.R. Board of Directors has already approved similar changes to the governing documents of the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation, setting the term of office of a Trustee at three years, so these amendments are for housekeeping purposes only. View the complete text of the Bylaws, with proposed additions and deletions shown, by clicking here.
Conflict of Interest Policy -- click here
C.A.R. Committee Members and Directors should review the full Integrity, Conflict of Interest, Disclosure Policy and Certification. All C.A.R. These include issues of direct and indirect financial interests as well as organizational affiliations when they involve C.A.R. policy. To complete the Certification online, click on the custom link in the email sent to you, or click here. This certification needs to be completed once each year for those serving as Directors or Committee Members.
