On-Line Ethics Course
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS
® Code of Ethics establishes rules for the highest ethical conduct and professionalism of its members. It's what distinguishes a REALTOR
® from other real estate licensees. REALTORS
® who violate the Code harm consumers as well as the credibility of the entire REALTOR
® community.
To help local Associations and Professional Standards hearing panels better educate their members, C.A.R. has developed on-line ethics training. This course emphasizes the requirements of the Code of Ethics and is ideal for use as a sanction for Code of Ethics violations.
The course is a one-hour, online text based course to help ensure that REALTORS
® are fully aware of key sections of the Code of Ethics, entitled "A Word About The NAR Code of Ethics." It includes intermediate quizzes, as well as a final examination to test the member's comprehension of what they have learned. Upon successful completion and passing of the final examination, the member receives a PDF certificate that can be printed. If the course is taken as a sanction for violating the Code of Ethics, the certificate can be submitted to the association as proof that the course has been completed.
In addition, some local associations are purchasing the course for supplementary training for their Grievance and Professional Standards Committee members.
The one hour course is $19.95 and available for purchase at: http://www.rebsonline.com/product/2138/A-Word-About-The-NAR-Code-Of-Ethics.
