Mission Statement:
The Distressed Properties Task Force Shall seek out information from REALTORS® and related market participants as to problems peculiar to short sales and REO sales.
The Task Force will meet in conjunction with Board of Directors meetings, and conference call or in person between meetings as need requires and resources permit, and craft recommendations for strategies to facilitate and standardize sales of distressed properties by REALTORS® in a way that reduces costs and avoids inappropriate liability.
The Task Force will report at each meeting to the Transactions and Regulatory Committee and Standard Forms Advisory Committees at the triennial meetings and make a final report and recommendations to each committee in October [2012].
