Additionally, various issues were reported from the field: A date certain, 10 year action plan for sewer lateral repair (not point-of-sale) in Marin County; a $20/unit fire inspection fee for rental units in Long Beach; Municipal Auditing Services and business license taxes; smart meters in Los Angeles: a new state law requiring fire sprinklers on all new residentail construction; on-site septic systems and the Regional Water Quality Control Board in Malibu; vacation retntal restrictions in Santa Cruz County; non-recording of filing of from Department of Planning, Land and Use in East San Diego County; rent control and REO's in Berkeley.
