Exercising your right to vote is
critical to ensuring that your interests are represented in your city
council, Sacramento and Washington. Please make exercising that right a
priority! Take the following actions and be a
participant in the election process:
1. Register to vote! If you
are not currently registered to vote, request a voter registration
card online, or download a registration card by going to
our Voter
Registration Form.
2. Vote absentee! Registered
voter can apply for an absentee
ballot by mail. Applications must be submitted to
your county elections official.
3. Encourage your colleagues and clients to register to
vote! To order blank registration cards for your office through
C.A.R., please fill out the attached Voter
Registration Form. Your clients will appreciate the added
benefit of being able to register to vote quickly.
4. Display voter registration cards at your
local association office! Registration cards are available from
your county
elections office, or by calling (800) 345-8683.
5. Participate in the Secretary of State's
Birthday
Card Program! It delivers a "birthday style" voter registration
card to everyone who turns 18 and has a California driver’s license or
California identification card from the Department of Motor
Vehicles.
GET INTO POLITICS: The decisions made by elected
officials affect our lives every day - from the taxes we pay, to the roads
we drive on, to the schools our children attend. That‘s why it‘s
important to participate in the political process and help choose your
elected officials by exercising your right to vote!
