The amount of time it takes to complete a course depends on the effort you put into it. Some courses are only a few credit hours long, which can be done in a day. You may only complete 15 credit hours of testing within any given 24 hour period (by California state law).
Do I have to complete my entire course in one sitting?
No. In fact, most courses allow you to take up to one year to finish. Your progress will be saved as you go.
How soon can I start after I have bought my course(s)?
Immediately. There is no enrollment period or waiting list which may delay your progress.
Each course has a number of credit hours, which will give you a rough
estimate on how long it will take to complete. You can see the number of
credit hours on the Course Catalog page or when you are logged into your
account on the Student Home page.
Are my continuing education certificates
automatically submitted to the Department of Real Estate?
After the course completion certificate has been issued, you must submit the certificate numbers to the Department of Real Estate with your application for license renewal. When renewing through DRE’s eLicensing, you must enter all course certificates at the same time, but no earlier than 90 days prior to your license expiration date.

Webinar Questions
I just purchased a webinar and received an e-mail to register for it, why do I have to do this?
The webinars are held on a privately owned computer system that we cannot connect our e-commerce system to; this requires all webinar attendees to register for the webinar.
I registered for the webinar but why I did not get information on how to connect and/or call into it?
In order to ensure that only those that paid for the webinar attend it, we cross check the purchase records of our e-commerce system with the name and e-mail address registered for it. Once we verify the purchase, we then approve the registration. The system then sends you the information on how to connect to the webinar. We do our best to approve registrations at least twice daily during the weekdays. Any purchases and/or registrations made during the weekend are typically approved by the following operating weekday.
I accidentally deleted, or cannot find the webinar connection information I received, can you resend it?
The webinar system will send you a reminder e-mail with the connection information 1 day prior, and 1 hour prior to the webinar. We cannot manually tell the system to resend it. Each attendee’s connection information is randomly generated by the webinar system, unfortunately we cannot access it to send in a separate e-mail.
I registered for the webinar on the outside system and I have not received any connection information for at least a week. How can I get it?
First, please be sure to check your junk e-mail or spam filter/folder. You may also want to make sure that you are allowing e-mails from GoToMeeting.com and car.org. If you do not receive anything by the day prior to the webinar, please contact us at XXX-XXX-XXXX and we will do our best to assist you.
When are you scheduling the webinar again?
Our webinar schedule is updated on a monthly basis on www.rebsonline.com/tech . We attempt to schedule at least one of one subject, each month. Additional webinars on a subject will depend on student demand, instructor availability and the availability of new classes.
Will I get a recorded copy of the webinar I attended?
You will not get a recorded copy of the webinar, but you will get an Adobe PDF document, which contains all the information, presented. It also contains links to the websites demonstrated during the webinar.
I purchased the webinar and registered minutes before it started, how do I connect?
In order to present the best webinars possible with no technical issues we do preliminary testing during the half-hour leading up to the webinar. During this time, we are unable to approve new registrations. We are also unable to approve registrations during the webinar as it would detract from the student experience. Please contact us at education@car.org so we can arrange for you to attend another webinar.
Why can’t I purchase the webinar up until the start time of it?
Since we are unable to approve new registrations 30 minutes prior to the webinar we remove it from our site to help avoid any problems for our students.
I purchased the webinar and was not able to make it, can I get a refund?
We will first attempt to work with you to find another presentation of the webinar that you are able to attend. Should one not be found we will issue a credit for another course on rebsonline.com, or a future webinar.
Can I view the webinar on a PC or a MAC?
Yes, the webinar service is compatible with both PC and MAC computers. Please be sure to visit the GoToMeeting website at www.gotomeeting to review the operating system requirements.
Will my computer connect to the webinar?
Please visit www.gotomeeting.com to verify you are able to install and utilize their webinar client.
How do I listen to the webinar?
You can listen to the webinar either by the telephone conference number provided, or with your speakers and/or headphones on your computer.
Why is there no 800 or local phone number for the webinar?
To help provide webinars at the lowest possible price we do not set-up any 800 or local numbers for the webinars. Each webinar contains a different dial-in number, that is randomly picked by the webinar service. You can listen to the webinar for no-charge by listening on your computer’s speakers or headphones connected to your computer.
How come we can’t audibly ask questions?
The audio quality and speed of the webinar suffers greatly as a result of opening everyone’s audio sources. You can still ask questions using the GoToMeeting webinar client. The instructor will do their best to answer the questions in a timely manner and will always repeat the question for everyone to hear.
I have an association or broker office, can I purchase one webinar and show it to my entire office or membership?
We ask that you contact us at education@car.org so we can arrange for special pricing that best meets your needs.
Can I arrange for a special webinar for my members or office staff?
Please e-mail us at education@car.org to let us know of your interest and a member of our staff will contact you to assist you further.
Are these webinars just for Realtors, or real estate professionals in California?
The content in the webinars does not focus on any one state, and the techniques shown can apply to any individual working in or involved with the real estate industry.
Do you ever present the topics in a live lecture format?
These courses can also be presented at an association, broker office or meeting space. They can also be customized and adjusted to best meet your needs. Please contact us at education@car.org for more information.
