Job Summary:
The Political Action Committee Director (PAC) Director implements and participates in the development of program objectives for the California Real Estate Political Action Committee (CREPAC) and Political Affairs programs; advises the members, staff and leadership on political candidates, incumbents and party politics. Briefs and advises the CREPAC and California Real Estate Independent Expenditure Committee (CREIEC) Trustees on a race by race basis providing the political “intelligence” as well as recommendations for funding candidates and Independent Expenditures. The PAC Director oversees C.A.R.’s Candidate Campaign School and the Political Campaign Field Staff to ensure that program objectives are met in connection with candidate development and promoting the involvement of local AORs in developing candidates for local, state and ultimately federal office.
Major Responsibilities:

Provide political advice, consultation and information on all state, federal US elections and political matters. Coordinate CREPAC and CREIEC trustees meetings and logistics.

Provide a high level of customer service on political, fundraising and PAC administration matters.
·
Provide technical and support assistance to CAR staff, members and Governmental Affairs division.
·
Continually define and create candidate support methods, adapt to social, political or legal changes and insure C.A.R. is performing appropriately within acceptable legal and political parameters.

Supervise PAC administrative and Political Campaign Field Staff.
Requirements:
·
Bachelor’s degree in Government, Political Science, or related field required.
·
Minimum of 5 years of political and/or campaign related experience.
·
Excellent analytical skills.
·
Ability to work with and evaluate political consultants.
·
Familiarity with reading and interpreting polling and other politically related data.
·
Excellent presentation skills.
