Job Summary:
The Real Estate Finance Consultant/Lender Ombudsman position requires a broad range of skills and experience in dealing with the lending industry. This regular, full time position is designed to help REALTORS® navigate through the various nuances, intricacies of real estate finance, procedural differences, navigating through short sale transactions, and overall difficulties with in the financing, and funding the real estate transaction. This person will be required to be proficient and knowledgeable in the transaction for everything from providing information about buyer eligibility for programs, qualifying for a loan, providing financial help and guidance during escrow and closing. It will also require strict tenacity, persistence, and in-depth knowledge in the real estate finance and lending arena.
Responsibilities:
• Counsel association members on a one-one-one basis on financing the real estate transaction, including but not limited to serving as a resource on
• Short Sale transactions
• Financing
• Home buying programs eligibility
• Manage relationships between members of the association and the lending community in order to facilitate expedited and smooth transactional processes.
• Coordination of special events for the real estate community specific to real estate finance, including promotional strategies, content development and material preparation, exhibit logistics, travel coordination and communications.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining communications for the program.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of a database of real estate financing and opportunities available to consumers of real estate.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or economics preferred or related field experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the real estate industry.
• Strong real estate transactional knowledge required.
• Requires significant experience in working with lending institutions and representatives.
• Ability to effectively communicate with lenders and REALTORS® in order to provide support and resolve issues.
