Job Summary:
You will work on a variety of projects and programs covering a spectrum of communication channels within a busy corporate communication department. As our ideal candidate, you have excellent written and verbal skills, are able to think independently, and you are highly resourceful. You will work on numerous communication vehicles, from web sites and social media, to print, e-newsletters, mobile platforms, and more. In addition to developing and producing content for these channels, you also will be involved in content creation for high-level conferences, and have the opportunity to be an integral part of the strategic planning process for many major communication initiatives. This terrific position provides variety, challenges, and opportunities to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
• Assume full responsibility for monthly webinar series, including but not limited to content creation, solicitation of speakers, audience engagement, and marketing.
• Work on key thought leadership initiative—a major Association-wide program involving heavy interface with external partners, the creation of high-level conferences, producing reports,
and more.
• Write and edit a variety of departmental communication products.
• Copyedit and proofread work within the department as required.
• Work on various other communication projects, such as scripting for videos, development of targeted communication to key audience segments, expansion of existing campaigns via different platforms, etc.
Requirements
• Strong educational background in journalism, communication or marketing. Bachelor’s degree in one of these disciplines required.
• Minimum of one year of professional communication experience preferred.
• High degree of proficiency in writing. Excellent command of language a must.
• Strong ability to conceptualize and develop content.
• Knowledge of AP or other style guide.
• High degree of familiarity with digital platforms.
